ONE DAY ONE AYAT (ODOA) METHOD IN IMPROVING CHILDREN'S ABILITY TO MEMORIZE JUZ AMMA FOR RA BUNGA BANGSA ONGGORAWE SAYUNG DEMAK

Abstrak

This research aims to determine the application of the ODOA method in improving memorization of juz amma in children at RA Bunga Bangsa Onggorawe Sayung Demak. This research is classroom action research with research subjects of children in group A at RA Bunga Bangsa Onggorawe Sayung Demak. This research method is descriptive qualitative. The data collection technique in this research was through observation, interviews and documentation techniques with the research subjects being group A students totaling 10 children with the research setting at RA Bunga Bangsa Onggorawe Sayung Demak. This type of research is classroom action research. This research consisted of 2 cycles, cycle 1 consisting of 11 meetings, while cycle 2 consisted of 9 meetings. The results of this research show that the application of the ODOA method at RA Bunga Bangsa is divided into six steps, including: 1) The verse to be memorized is read first piece by piece by the teacher or supervisor in a loud, clear and fluent voice (makhraj and tajwid) while being followed by the child. 2) The teacher asks the child to repeat the passage verse by verse three to 5 times. 3) The teacher again asks the children to repeat the verse fragments until they can. 4) After the child can recite fragments of verses, the teacher recites one complete verse with the specified rhythm. 5) The teacher appoints the children one by one to memorize the verse using rhythm in front of the class. Meanwhile, the ability to memorize juz amma at RA Bunga Bangsa has increased and can be said to be successful according to the criteria for children's learning success, namely 75%. Thus, Classroom Action Research (PTK) was sufficient and ended in cycle 2. This can be proven by the percentage achieved, namely in the pre-cycle it was 57%, in cycle 1 it was 67% and in cycle 2 it was 92% and then the results of the cycle 2, namely 92% minus the pre-cycle results, namely 57%, then you get a result of 35%.
